Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift (2:30PM - 11:00PM)

Position SummarySupervise and lead the production staff to succeed in the machining and assembly department.
Interact with other functional groups management, engineers, production control, production staff, maintenance, machine shop, and other employees within the organization to ensure the efficient and effective flow of product.
Identify and resolve problems involving the manufacturing process before they impact the customer.
Position Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate all phases of the department's operation to ensure that materials produced to meet the customer's required specifications and established company standards.
Plan and expedite the operations of the department in order to meet production schedules and make the most efficient use of available personnel and equipment.
Review, analyze, interpret and evaluate production and inspection reports, and recommend corrective action as necessary to ensure all department and company metrics are met.
Exercise the usual authority of a Supervisor in relation to hiring, training, counseling, employee relations, performance evaluation, promotions, terminations, etc.
Initiate cross-training and initial training programs that encompass all aspects of the department's operations to expand and improve coverage and personnel qualifications.
Support the development and production of new products to ensure our cost and delivery milestones are met.
Participate, collaborate and implement Lean and/or Kaizen events as necessary to ensure department/project expectations and metrics are met.
Perform other related duties as required.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
A two-year technical degree or higher is preferred.
Experience:
2 or more years of experience as a team lead, supervisor or entry level management position.
Experience in precision machining and metal forming is preferred but not required.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of various supervisory skills such as but not limited to; leadership skills, employee relations, state and federal employment regulations, training and counseling, performance evaluations, scheduling, and onboarding.
Knowledge of various manufacturing skills such as but not limited to; Lean and/or Kaizen methodologies, KPI's, ERP/MRP systems, and production methodsSkills:

Read, write, hear, understand and speak English fluently.
Hold, manipulate, lift and move samples, objects, and equipment up to 50 lbs.
Feel, hear and see detail features and characteristics in products.
Utilize hand-eye coordination sufficient to work with tools, equipment, and machinery.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
