Assistant Director of Facilities

This position supports the Director of Facilities in maintaining the property assets to the highest level by providing direction and supervision to staff and contractors, monitoring various aspects of the day to day operations and future operations\. The Assistant DOF analyzes operational activities preparing studies and reports related to department operations, staffing, training, evaluating performance\. The assistant DOF supports the business activities of the Hotel del Coronado, while promoting a safe and functional environment for guests and staff alike\.
What will I be doing?
+ Effectively communicates to staff and management both internally and externally\. Maintains positive intradepartmental relationships and supports a positive working environment throughout the hotel\.
+ Conducts property walks and inspections of the property daily\. Inspects property for compliance with hotel functional and aesthetic standards, safety, customer requirements, and related issues\. Uses resources as required to correct any identified deficiencies\.
+ Plans, develops and administers documentation to support property SOP?s, guidelines, programs, as well as, human resource activities including reviews, documentation and disciplinary procedures as required\.
+ Forecasts labor, utilities and financial requirements to maintain and operate property effectively promoting the business goals for the Hotel del Coronado\.
+ Manage and evaluates the data recorded by the Engineering staff to be accurate and complete enabling management to properly track labor and expenses\. Organize engineering staff according to work requirements driven by business demands and management of the asset\. Provide feedback and/or corrective measures to ensure continual improvement in productivity and accuracy of staff reporting\.
+ Plans, bids, engages, coordinates and manages contractor activities\. Monitors contractors work during their activities to ensure safety compliance and smooth property integration\. Inspects contractors work to verify completeness and compliance with contract and project objectives\. Evaluates change orders and manages contractor closeout as required\.
+ Manages purchases and expenditures using system reports to evaluate budgetary compliance\. Ensures timeliness of purchasing activities to support planned project requirements\. Will input requisitions into the purchasing system as required\.
+ Effectively utilizes all property systems and software to include inputting data, printing reports, analyzing data and responding to trends and issues identified by the system\. The assistant DOF needs to be proficient using technology to create, record and interpret data\.
+ Promotes excellent customer service, provides support and training to staff to ensure programs and initiatives are successful\. Maintain standards of friendly professional service with staff and guests\.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
