PC Technician - Coronado, CA (ID#008) with Security Clearance

PC Technician Active TS/SCI Clearance Required We are currently hiring for PC Technicians in multiple locations with an active TS/SCI clearance and 4+ years of IT support experience. Required certifications include: Level I or higher (A+ CE, Network+ CE, SSVP, CCNA Security) This is a long-term, 5+ year contract (PTO and comprehensive benefits included). Campbell, KY Little Creek, VA Stennis, MS Yuma, AZ Industry: Defense Employment Type: Long-term contract (PTO and comprehensive benefits included) Job Description: PC Technicians will be responsible for software and hardware installation and configuration. Maintain and repair a variety of equipment, install drivers, update systems firmware and BIOS, install Local Area Networks (LANs) and Virtual LANs. Must have excellent troubleshooting skills along with exceptional organizing and time management skills. PC Technician candidates need excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity. Must be customer service-oriented, articulate and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of computing resources. Candidates may be required to provision and maintain mobile devices (NIPR/SIPR/Gray). Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance is required At least 3 years of previous experience working as a PC Technician Required certification (employment is contingent upon keeping required certifications current): DOD 8570 IAT Level I or higher (A+ CE, Network+ CE, SSVP, CCNA Security) Preferred Education: Associate's Degree in Computer Science or a related field Preferred Experience: LAN/WAN network experience Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles Preferred Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, and/or any Microsoft Windows 7/10 or Server 2012/2016 certifications Job Duties: Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs and peripherals such as printers Installing and configuring application and operating system software and upgrades Troubleshooting and repairing hardware and network connectivity issues Removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines Maintaining an inventory of installed software, managing software licensing, and creating policies and procedures for upgrades; Maintain an inventory of hardware within a lab environment Working with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule Analyzing and making recommendations for hardware and software standardization Create and maintain user accounts with a lab environment Document lessons learned from repairs and fixes Offer technical support and teach users how to utilize system functionality About Us: SRG Government Services (SRG) is a leading provider of information technology, training, engineering, accounting and intelligence analytical services for agencies in the intelligence, defense, homeland security, cyber security, and federal civilian markets. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
